The scope of the project was to construct a "Jordan Well" capable of producing enough water to power our sprinkler system for the newly constructed 100,000 square feet seed storage warehouse.  The volume of water was determined to be 1350 gallons per minute at an operation pressure of 80 pounds per square inch.

The scope of work for the project was determined in early December of 2007 and a completion date of June 15, 2008 was determined by the permitting process and lead times associated with specialized equipment.  Other options considered were to extend the water supply system of Lone Tree, Iowa and to construct a holding tank with pump system in lieu of construction of the well.  Both alternatives would have taken more money and more importantly time to complete.  At least three more months for the tank system and perhaps one year or more for the city water system.

The project was started and finished on time.  That sounds simple but when obtaining permits, digging a 1700 feet deep well, and meeting the completion schedule is far from a simple task.  The weather during the winter of 2007-08 was one of the worst in Iowa's history and complicated site access and material delivery.

Klint Gingerich managed the process from beginning to end most professionally explaining the complicated issues to make them easy to understand.  His calm easy  going communication style really helped jobsite relations given how fast track the project was.  It was a real pleasure to work with him and I recommend anyone considering the company for work to contact me for a reference.

Best Regards.
